HI I'M MATT, THE CRAFTSMAN BEHIND MO & CO
I love wood and unique designs, the focus in my work is to give someone absolute joy of having these things in their home.
To make and craft has been in blood since I was young. My dad is one of those blokes that always came home from the tip with more on the trailer than we loaded.
My thing was chucked away prams for the wheels and he loves timber. Every kid within walking distance had a trolled specifically designed for absolute downhill carnage on those council provided bulldozed beauties thanks to me. I love making stuff that gives someone complete joy. My focus has changed but the joy of making and having cool stuff has not.
MO & CO QUALITY
Number one in high quality is good craftmanship. This leads to a a good quality product for the customer, and also gives work satisfaction. A good craftsman also needs good materials. We believe in using the highest quality materials, tempered with control over price, insuring the product will be long lasting. Good design is an important part of high quality. Products need to function well and be attractive to the eye.
WE CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
As individuals and a family we try to live in a decent balance with nature since we are an integral part of and are dependent on the whole of creation. The materials we use, wood and rope, have been used for thousands of years and therefore feel very familiar and natural to us. In our choice of materials we are faced with the challenge that we want them to be durable outside and be easy care for the modern lifestyle. The swing seats are all made from sustainably sourced macrocarpa, this is then treated with special timber oil to ensure it's UV resistant for the Kiwi sun.
